I have a long history serving my friends and family in Durant and Bryan County in the funeral business. I started in the funeral profession at Dalton-Holmes Funeral home in Durant in 1987. I worked as a licensed funeral director and embalmer and later owner of Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home and continued serving and providing personal and caring service to the people in my hometown community for a total of 23 years. I sold Dalton-Holmes in 2010.
I grew up in Bryan County and have a desire to care for my friends and family in their time of need with a genuine and caring heart. For this reason I decided to return to Durant to open Gordon Funeral Home. I am proud to be the only locally owned owner-operated funeral service in Durant. We are not owned by someone who doesn't live in our community or has groups of funeral homes and interest elsewhere. We are taking care of our hometown people. When you come to Gordon Funeral Home your needs will be met by me, the owner and Funeral Director in charge as this provides for more personal attention to detail for your family. ~Brent Gordon
We are the most affordable funeral and cremation service in Durant and provide a caring and respectful remembrance for your loved one.
Our newly renovated beautiful modern facility is patterned after the newest trends in the industry, which can assist in keeping costs to a minimum, sometimes saving thousands of dollars without sacrificing the quality of the service. We are available 24 hours a day for your needs, whether it would be inquiring about prearrangements or to provide immediate attention for your needs. At Gordon Funeral Home we structure the funeral service around the life of the deceased. Whether the deceased is a farmer or a veteran or a homemaker, we can provide an atmosphere that is a reflection of their life’s work or play.
