Krahë, not Krahë.

Krahë is one of our newest downtown businesses. Owned by Tabbitha Bekteshi, Krahë (pronounced craw, as in crawfish) symbolizes a new beginning for her and her family. This classy apparel and accessory boutique was born out of a desire to create something Tabbitha could be proud of. The word krahë is Albanian and means "wings." Coming from her husband's native roots, the word is inspirational to her by creating a mental image of lifting yourself up.

Krahë has found its niche in downtown Durant as a classy, upscale boutique catering to women, men, and children. Krahë's style can be described as conservative and classy with a wild side. Quality brands like Buffalo David Bitton and Betsey Johnson beautifully add a new flare to the offerings of our downtown shopping area. When asked what her favorite item is, Tabbitha gushed "I love the leather." She enticed me to try on one of her favorite items, a luxurious black leather vest, and now I'm gushing over it too! Even with my casual wear on, it still looked great, proving that it really can go with almost anything.

Beyond Krahë's style, another thing that helps set it apart is Tabbitha's commitment to carry beautiful clothing in classic styles that fit up to a size 18/20. Tabbitha encourages her customers to get out of their comfort zone and try things on. You never know how it will make you feel until you get it on. (A fact proven by the aforementioned leather vest!) She loves helping her customers feel beautiful. This passion came after helping someone close to her attempt to find flattering event attire in a larger size and watching the disappointment of that struggle. She wants women of all sizes to find flattering, fashionable items.

Tabbitha and her family have been in Durant for about 6 years and during that time they have been met with encouragement and support. Coming from the Dallas area, she shares that this type of support was unusual. Not all businesses are as eager to help each other succeed. "I love Durant's hometown feel," she says. The next time you’re out and about downtown, check out Krahë at 112 S. 2nd St. and mention you saw this article to get 10% off your total purchase!
