Generations: Your Prom Destination

Creating an experience, that’s what Generations Formal Wear is about.
From the moment you step into the shop (with your mother and grandmother at your side) you know you’re not only about to find the perfect dress but create a lasting memory. Generations has the latest styles and knowledgeable staff eager to help you find exactly what you want.
With over 200 new gowns available for Prom 2020, the choice is yours. And don’t worry about your size. Generations has that covered too by offering sizes 000 – 24 in store. Where else can you find that amazing size range? And there’s more. By partnering with Sydney’s Closet, an exclusive plus size brand, Generations can offer up to size 36.

Generations is proud to offer Johnathan Kayne designs. Johnathan Kayne has been called a “genius designer” by Heidi Klum and “a designer who knows how to make clothes and fit a woman’s body” by Michael Kors. His designs have appeared on some of the world’s biggest stars and on the red carpet. A few of his celebrity clients include Jennifer Lopez, Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Kelly Pickler, Tanya Tucker, Lee Brice, and Rascal Flatts. Generations is the exclusive dealer of Johnathan Kayne designs between Dallas and Oklahoma City.

Generations can outfit your Quinceañera as well. Check out Mary’s Quinceañera on their website at www.shopgen2010.com to view their amazing selection.
After you find the perfect dress, you can then move on to the perfect makeup. Generations includes a full-service Merle Normal salon. You can get your Prom look done on site plus purchase your products for continued use (because you know you’ll want to rock that shade of lipstick again). If you’re not familiar with the Merle Norman story, give them a quick search. You’ll find that they have been around since 1931 and received numerous awards for their innovative products.

Don’t think the guys are left out. Generations offers tuxedo rentals and recently added tuxedo purchases as well. Guys have many choices, including traditional, contemporary, and unique styles.
Generations recognizes the importance of family and community and therefore gives back. This prom season they are open extended hours for your shopping convenience and even offer after hours appointments. Also, they are giving back to your high school this prom season. If your school reaches the combined goal, Generations will give 10% back to the prom committee. For example, if a 5A school (like Durant) reaches 25 dress purchases and 100 tuxedo rentals then they will give 10% back to the prom committee. You can find full details on their Facebook page.
Spread the word and shop local this prom season at 134 West Main.
