This place is filled to the brim with fun and funky pieces for the gal who wants to look and feel extra, whether you’re headed to work or a concert.
Say hello to CactusGypsies Boutique, located at 108 N. 2nd Street in Downtown Durant. Although the doors just opened in August 2018, this story is full of history- from the building, the décor, and the owners!
Owners Morgan Hudgins and Chelsea Clark have created the happiest little hideaway… you’ve just got to check it out!
The location was previously Morgan’s great grandmother’s building, where she was a cosmetologist. These two have worked hard to reflect their personalities, while showcasing some near-and-dear to their hearts items, including a family heirloom flag and even a few deer mounts shot by a gun-wielding grandma! Also featured are feed store signs from Chelsea’s family, who owned a milling company for over 45 years in Antlers.
“No one will give you your dream, you have to go out and get it and learn to fly on the way down.” These two gals have certainly chased their dreams: from starting small and selling out of their homes, traveling to vendor events in an Airstream trailer (named Sylvia), managing an online store and Facebook live sales, setting up a space in Foster Creativity, to having their own Downtown Durant storefront. They contribute their success to their great customers and relying on and trusting in God throughout their journey.
Their favorite part about being in Downtown Durant is the energy and atmosphere. They said there’s always something fun happening and folks are coming from surrounding areas to stop by. Chelsea said it’s so nice to see her online customers in person and that they’ve become like family.
Inventory is constantly changing from adorable t-shirts, sassy jewelry, retro bellbottoms to sequins galore…. They feature western, floral, boho, and more!
From koozies to Louis Vuitton, you’re sure to find something you absolutely NEED. If you need help deciding, these gals are happy to help you put your own unique look together, too!
