Bowling Extravaganza '10

2010-02-05 08:54:18

Durant Main Street’s Twelfth Annual Bowling Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Durant Bowling Center. Only a few lanes remain unsold for the event, and bowlers are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid being left out.

A silent auction will be held in conjunction with this event, and several businesses have donated nice things. Last years highlighted auction items included tickets to the PBR, concerts, a Chick Trip, the movies, and more.

This major fundraiser for the organization is sponsored by Durant Bowling Center. Silent auction items in the past have also included gift baskets, gift certificates, overnight travel outings, fishing equipment, jewelry, Choctaw Casino packages, and more. This offers bowlers an even greater competition—the need to take the prizes home.

Serious bowlers can experience this afternoon from a different perspective. Novice bowlers can play different games for a chance to score high. Prizes are awarded for winners in each game as well as for getting a strike when a colored pin appears. Other games are played for prizes throughout the afternoon.

For only $150, up to 10 people can bowl in a lane for three hours. Free food items are included with the lane. Those who have participated in the past are always eager to join the fun. The lanes are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Many businesses sponsor the lanes for their employees and their families. Friends and co-workers are also welcome to go together to purchase a lane.

Join Durant Main Street on Saturday, February 27, from 3:00  – 6:00 for fun, games, food, prizes, and laughs. Call Durant Main Street at 924-1550 to find out more.
