Bass Tournament Rescheduled
2009-06-05 17:38:31June 27, 2009, is the new date for the First United Bank fishing tournament benefiting Durant Main Street. The tenth annual event was originally set for May 16, but the high waters on Lake Texoma caused it to be postponed. Those who enjoy bass fishing are encouraged to hook up to the boat and bring their gear to Alberta Creek on Lake Texoma.
The First Place winner is guaranteed $1000. The entry fee of $100 includes first and second big bass. A 50% payback is planned which could make for a worthwhile way to spend your Saturday.
This promises to be a first class event. Organizers from the Little Dixie Bass Club are assisting First United and the Durant Main Street Organization Committee with the tournament. Soft drinks and sandwiches will be served to participants after weigh-in.
