Durant Main
Street Facade Grant Available Downtown
The Durant Main Street Board of
Directors have matching grants of up to $500 for buildings undergoing
significant change. The grants are available until the funding is all
utilized. To stimulate removal of metal coverings, the Board felt this was
an appropriate step.
Durant Main Street is accepting applications from building owners and
tenants to restore and rehabilitate their downtown buildings. Façade
Improvement Grant funds are matching grants available for the storefronts
of these buildings. Funds are available to Durant Main Street Members who
restore a building within the Durant Main Street District.
Grants are for facade improvements only. Improvements can include
storefronts, signage, awnings, windows, cornices, doors, masonry repair,
paint and paint removal. The $500 grants are still available to members
also.
For more information or an application form, please call the Durant Main
Street office at 580-924-1550 or e-mail ddow@durantmainstreet.org.

The three signs pictured above are
evidence of Durant Main Street's Facade
Improvement Program. Joy's Boutique, Relics Unlimited, and Uptown Lady were
the first three businesses to take advantage of the matching grant. All the
businesses have a nice new sign representing their business
