Billy & Natalie Blackburn
Natalie Blackburn is a native of Blue, Ok and has lived in Durant for the past 11 years. She graduated as an Honor’s Graduate from Rock Creek Public Schools in 2005. Natalie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2009. In 2015, she earned her Master’s Degree from SOSU in Public School Administration. She currently teaches at her “dream school” Northwest Heights Elementary and has taught there for the past 6 years. She also serves as a board member for the Bryan County Pregnancy Center. She is married to Billy Blackburn, and together they have two beautiful children, Avery and Kase.
Billy Blackburn was born and raised in Durant, Ok. He is the owner and operator of Blackburn Plumbing LLC & Blackburn Environmental LLC. Billy obtained his Master Plumbing License in the state of Oklahoma and Texas in 2007. He is an active member at Fairview Baptist Church and the community of Durant. He married Natalie Blackburn in 2007, and together they have two beautiful children, Avery and Kase.
Brett Rogers & Kara Hendrickson
Brett Rogers, originally from Pawhuska, OK, has called Durant home since 2009. He and his wife, Abby, have two children: Ben (age 4) and Ava (age 2). Brett works at First United Bank as a Regional Credit Officer at the Durant location and has been with the bank since 2004 serving in various capacities and locations. He earned a finance degree from Oklahoma State University and still enjoys going back to Stillwater for games and Sigma Chi functions. He spends his nights and weekends at the ballfields with his son, who plays soccer and T-ball, and he looks forward to Ava’s first dance recital this spring and hopes he can learn a few moves from her before May. Brett and Abby are members of Fusion Bible. They host a Discipleship Group at their home on a weekly basis and serve in various capacities on Sunday mornings. Brett is involved in the Durant community through his service with the Bryan County United Way, where he serves as Vice President of the board and will be Board President in July. He serves on First United Bank’s volunteer board, where he encourages community involvement from the 250 employees in the Durant market. When he’s not dancing, he enjoys playing golf, tennis, and running. He looks forward to Durant’s walking/bike trails in the near future through the hard work of his dance partner, Kara Hendrickson and the Imagine Durant team, and he attempts to participate in all local runs. He helps with the United Way “Be A Hero” run every March and always looks forward to Colton’s Run supporting Durant Main Street in October. He is proud to be part of the Durant community and looks forward to raising his family here. Brett has never competed or danced professionally; however, he never turns down the dance floor at local charity events when attending with his wife and friends. He looks forward to dancing for you on May 7th and seeing you on the dance floor in the near future.
Kara Hendrickson is a Southeastern Oklahoma State University alumnus whose background includes public-private partnerships, community relations, policy change, education, and event planning. She is currently the Executive Director of Imagine Durant, A community based initiative for creating a unified vision for Durant and the strategies to make it happen. Hendrickson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 2008. Hendrickson also owned a highly successful photography company that specialized in High School Seniors, weddings, and head shots. She has been featured in many magazines for her work with model and Talent, Lilyan Cole. As well as traveled to New York to learn under fashion photographer Lara Jade.
She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, playing tennis and golf, shopping, traveling, eating amazing food, or simply relaxing at home with her two rescue cats (CoCo and Sheba).
Hendrickson is a member of the Durant Young Professionals Board, Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival Board, United Way Board, Bryan County Healthy Living Taskforce, Magnolia Festival Parade Chair, Durant Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2016, First United Bank’s LEAD Program, and 2015 Oklahoma Academy Town Hall Forum participant.
Chad Hitchcock & Wendi Driver
Chad is married to his lovely bride of 10 years Jenilee Hitchcock and they have one amazing little girl, Elizabeth Hitchcock. He is a lifelong Durant citizen and a graduate of Durant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State Univeristy. Chad is a Sales-Manager at Hitchcock Distributing and is currently serving the community as a City Council Member at Large. He has completed multiple half-marathons and one marathon….which he will never, ever do again. Chad enjoys spending time with his family, pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, the smell of the ocean, and the taste of champagne.
Wendi Driver is married to Tim Driver and they have two beautiful children, Emery and Jacob. She has lived in Durant since 2001. Wendi is an avid runner. She has ran 3 full marathons and looks forward to running more. Wendi graduated from SOSU in 2007, and has worked at Landmark Bank since 2006. She is also a board member for the Bryan County United Way. Wendi enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Chance & Jade Adams
Chance Adams works for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma as the Wellness Director. Chance is an Alumni of Oklahoma State University and has lived in Durant for almost seven years. Chance is married to Jade Adams and they have three children Lakyn, Teagan, and Gray.
Jade Adams met Chance Adams at Oklahoma State University where she recieved her Bachelors of Science in Health Promotion and Education. Jade works as a Patient Relation Specialist for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Between getting kids to after school activities, Jade love attending Choctaw Crossfit. Jade is passionate about health, fitness, and all things FOOD.
Kent Springer & Latesha Arnold
Latesha Arnold, a Durant native, is the office manager at S & L Collision Center, Inc. where she has worked for eight years. A graduate of Grayson County College, Latesha is active in her community, serving on committees for Durant Main Street and Northwest Heights Parent/Student organizations as well as participating in various fundraising events. Wife of Levi Arnold and mother of two children, Maddox age 8 and Hadlee age 2, Latesha enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family. She loves watching Maddox play sports and spends many hours running between Maddox's practices and chasing Miss Hadlee. Latesha and Levi are avid OSU fans (go Pokes!) and enjoy attending various professional and collegiate sporting events. She also enjoys spending time with her large, extended family and group of friends whenever possible and especially likes to gather with them at the lake during the summer.
Kent Springer is a lifelong Bryan County native and graduate of Caddo High School in 2001. Kent and his awesome, beautiful wife Amanda have been married for 8 years and together have a 1 1/2 year old son, Jett. Kent is the owner of K&D Customs in Durant, where he began his business 13 years ago. Kent is so thankful for the support of his local community and enjoys giving back. Kent says "growing up watching successful business owners, like Blake Wright of "Taco Casa" not only live and do business in his community but also give back with a greatful heart.
Stewart & Sarah Hoffman
Stewart Hoffman’s dance experience includes his first dance with wife Sarah at their wedding in 2000. After that, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety from SOSU and worked in that field in both railroad and commercial construction until 2011 when he transitioned to the title of area manager for a railroad construction company and currently holds that position. Stewart became a licensed firearms dealer in 2009 and opened Uncle Stew’s Guns on Main Street in 2010 and after its quick success, sold the business in 2011. Having a desire to serve his community, Stewart was elected to the city council in 2013 and was appointed to the position of mayor in 2015. He is honored to currently hold that leadership position on the council and was honored to be volunteered by his wife to serve his community yet again in “Dancing with the Stars”. When Stewart is not working or fulfilling civic duties, he enjoys hunting, playing golf and spending time with his wife and their children, Kane and Kira.
Sarah Hoffman has been dancing intermittently for over 20 years, having studied ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, pom and hip hop. After serving as captain and choreographing numerous routines for her own high school dance team, she went on to conduct dance camps and choreograph for several area high school dance teams during her college years. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from SOSU. Sarah has taught various forms of dance at the Trinity School of Dance from 2010 to 2015. She also assisted with choreography for the Durant Sparklers 2014 spring recital and served as a choreographer, dance coach, and performed as the opening act in last year’s “Dancing with the Stars” event. Sarah currently teaches hip hop classes at Axis Dance Company and numerous fitness classes including Zumba at Nautilus Fitness Center where she is also a personal fitness trainer. When not dancing or exercising, Sarah enjoys spa days, seeing movies and spending time with her husband Stewart and their children, Kane and Kira.
